New Directions Early Head Start
Quality Care and Family Services
New Directions Early Head Start (NDEHS) provides pregnant participants, infants, toddlers, and their families with quality care and family services.
We support families by providing services for them and their very young children. Our goal is to promote children’s success and families’ self-sufficiency through community collaboration and partnerships. This includes both Home Visiting and Center-Based services.
Center-Based services are offered through our community child care partners in Wilmington and Newark, including Neighborhood House Inc., Hilltop Lutheran Neighborhood Center, and the University of Delaware Early Learning Center.
NDEHS provides Home Visiting services throughout New Castle and Kent Counties. Offering both program options allows families to choose the option that best meets their needs.
NDEHS is offered in partnership with the Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Childhood (DIEEC) , housed within the University of Delaware’s College of Education and Human Development.
