New Directions Early Head Start
Services That Support Every Child’s Development
New Directions Early Head Start provides comprehensive services that support children’s learning, development, and overall well-being.
We partner with families to create individualized experiences that build on each child’s strengths, respond to their needs, and provide a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Disabilities
NDEHS supports children with diagnosed disabilities and suspected developmental delays through inclusive practices, individualized planning, family advocacy, and partnerships with early intervention providers.
Curriculum
Research-based curricula guide learning experiences in our Home Visiting and Center-Based services. Staff use each child’s strengths, interests, developmental progress, and family goals to plan meaningful learning opportunities.
Assessment
Ongoing observations and developmental assessments help staff and families understand each child’s progress, celebrate strengths, establish goals, and identify areas where additional support may be helpful.
School Readiness
School readiness begins at birth. Families and staff work together to help children develop strong relationships, communication skills, confidence, curiosity, and the foundations needed for future learning.
Socializations and Family Events
Home Visiting socializations and program-wide family events give children and families opportunities to learn together, build relationships, celebrate milestones, and connect with other NDEHS families and their communities.
